Professor Stephen Engelking

In his younger years, Stephen studied at the London University for a teaching degree and majored in religious studies. These studies brought him into a new world of thinking and new contacts. It was during this time that he met Hugh Schonfield and Willi Haller to corroborate on reformulating societies based on equity and justice. Together these founded a community school in London to experiment with practice-oriented education for school dodgers. In Germany, Stephen and his wife opened a chain of boutiques after which he joined Willi Haller in founding the company Interflex. He founded the Arun and Sunanda Gandhi Educational Institute in Germany with Arun Gandhi and is chairman of the International Leadership and Business Society.

For over a decade he has lecturing strategic management, entrepreneurship and marketing to students from a wide variety of universities, in both English and German. Currently he is a lecturer at the Steinbeis University Berlin and the University of Cooperative Education Baden Württemberg.

He is fellow of both the Chartered Marketing Institute and the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is a council member of the historical Sack Family Foundation.
