Celine Ryan

Lecturer in Shannon College of Hotel Management- in areas of Marketing, Entrepreneurship, HRM, Business Skills Development and Management of Organisational Change. Student mentoring, and supervisor of the Shannon College’s annual European Mise En Place (EM) Cup team. Past experience teaching in University of Limerick’s Kemmy Business School (UL KBS), UL Language Centre and other work with the Irish Equine Institute (IEI), National Council for Exercise and Fitness (NCEF), UL Disability Office, along with private colleges in the areas of business and management. Also, previous involvement co-ordinating Student Enterprise Awards (SEA) activity at second level in Irish secondary schools (see www.studententerprise.ie ).

Celine studied in the Kemmy Business School for her BBS (Econ and Fin with focus on Law and Entrepreneurship), CEUROS (Centre for European Studies) for an MA in European Integration (focus on migration activity) and Centre for Teaching and Learning in UL for a Specialist Diploma in Teaching, Learning and Scholarship, (with focus on teaching and learning with international student cohort). She maintains she learnt as much, if not more, from her time in the hospitality industry, opening a bar (and in time a restaurant also) in Celtic Tiger times at the age of 21 with family.

Interests include economics, sociology, history, leadership studies, change management and  higher level education and student development.
