Sascha Spiegel

Sascha Spiegel is a Swiss citizen and has his background in the higher hospitality industry. After having completed his F&B service apprentice at the Hotel Schweizerhof in Bern, he gained valuable F&B experiences on the MV Astoria cruise liner or in up-scale hotels in Switzerland like the Sheraton Waldhuus Davos, Castello del Sole Ascona, Le Mirador Kempinski Lake Geneva or the Kempinski Bahia Estepona in Spain. In 2008, Sascha moved to Vietnam, to open Bai Tram Hideaway Resort as Operations Manager. After the opening he joined ERC International in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) where he worked in different positions like F&B Manager, F&B Consultant and Hospitality Lecturer. In 2013, Sascha joined the hotel chain Belmond (former Orient-Express Hotels and Resorts) and worked as Director F&B at the Belmond Napasai Koh Samui (Thailand) and as Operations Manager at the Belmond Governor’s Residence in Yangon (Myanmar). Since the beginning of the winter season 2016, Sascha is working at InterContinental Davos (Switzerland) as Director F&B.

Sascha studied at the Hotel Management School Thun in Switzerland and holds the “Eidgenössischem, Diploma Hotelier/Restaurateur Hohere Fachschule” title. He completed a MBA at the Australian Institute of Business and is currently in the dissertation stage of completing a Doctor of Business Administration at Swiss Management Centre University in Zug, Switzerland.
